I drove up with Cheena and Luna. I wanted to QC Cheena and one needs to provide their own test dog (Luna). The course was 630 yards and had 11 turns! Cheena passed with “flying” colors and now has a QC! We will enter her in a trial sometime within the year. Luna was also entered in the open stake at the field trail. The weather was cold and wet, and after the tests, the equipment failed. After a long delay, the trial was ready to resume. Sunny smoked the course x 2 and won the open stake for a 4 point major. Luna came in third (still trying to wrap my head around this one) and gained 1 point. Ziita ran 2 near perfect runs and tied for 1st place in the Specials (field CH) stake and then lost by 1 point in the run off. Chenjie (8 years old) won the Veteran’s stake and he also had 2 beautiful runs. Sunny then had to run against Ruby for Best of Breed - and Sunny won! Bumping her 4 pt major to a 5 point major (her second). Sunny now needs 2 single points to get her Fch title! Sunny is a delight to watch on the field! Cheena, Chenjie, Ziita, and Sunny - all delightful to watch.

Cheena’s QC paperwork, ribbon, and the course layout:

Good weather and good friends abound and a “few” RR’s to round out 4 days of shows:

Anthony will travel down with Chenjie, Ziita, and Sunny. Sandy will have Stryker, Gayleen will have Frankie, Paul and Marta will have Enzo, Jasper will be there too! I will bring Luna and Cheena - The entries are large, exceeding 100 RR every day!

Hoping to have good news to share! Till then, have a Happy New Year!
